William Rutger Smith was born this morning at 12:39. He weighed 7 lbs 10 ounces and he was 21 inches long. Melanie and William are doing well and are hoping to come home tomorrow.
We had some tell tale signs this morning so I’m at the house. Updates to come….
As of 3:30PM, June 23, There have been no arrivals from the stork. Melanie is having some discomfort but no contractions. Hopefully this will change soon as she is very much ready to have this child. Please William, come out and play. 
Until the arrival of our next child. We have done all the basic things to get ready so all that is left is for his arrival. I have pulled out the old car seat as well as the pack and play(which we use for a crib until the transition to the main crib) and of course the most important thing, the coffee maker. Melanie and I want to thank everyone for all of the wonderful gifts for the soon to be new arrival. Melanie is hanging tough but she gets tired from dealing with an active 2 year old and the extra weight from the new baby. As soon as the baby arrives I’ll post up the vital statistics and some pictures. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers for Williams safe arrival.
I caught some kind of stomach virus this past Monday and it has been lingering on. It was one of those viruses that makes you feel queasy but not sick enough to throw up or have diarrhea. I think sometimes its better to feel completely sick where you need to lay down and take it easy than just feeling a little achy and queasy. Anyway, I’m feeling better now so now it’s time to prepare for the next baby. I’m still betting that Melanie will have the baby before her birthday. We’ll soon see…..
