I was getting tired of keeping my aggregators at the house and at work in synch until I found this. This just made my life alot easier.

This is a very cool piece of software that will allow me to connect to my linux machines, finally.
I’m seeing more and more articles on video and smartphones.
This article discusses the new mobile media type people are calling a “mobisode” which means mobile episode. Time to add another title type.
This article discusses Verizons plans to use its 3G network to deliver mobile video and audio clips.
I saw this article on pocketpcthoughts and thought it was interesting. I haven’t installed it yet but it’s in my “To Try” folder.
DtecNet Software Apps has created an application that searches your computer for P2P applications and possible files downloaded by one of these applications. I’d be interested in seeing how this app differentiates between valid downloaded content and P2P downloaded content. I bet we see more of this type of software. Here’s the full article
I saw this article over on CNN money this morning. I’m thinking that maybe I should get that car alarm with a transmitter now.
This article discusses MythTV. It’s similar to Tivo but has some even more advanced features that allow you to search the web for recorded shows and it also allows you to strip out commercials. One more thing that makes it a threat is it’s free. I’ve downloaded it and I was pretty impressed by it’s functionality but I can really understand how something like this could really hurt the TV industry.
Basically Verizon and other local carriers will have the right(starting 2006) to veto any hotspot in the Philadelphia area. Read more about this here.
We woke up this morning to a nice blanket of ice. I think it was maybe an inch or so thick. We’ve had the power go off and on a couple of times but it hasn’t stayed off for more than a minute or two. It’s times like these that I’m glad I bought the battery backups for the computers since I lost a hard drive last year when the power went on and off several times. Since today is a good day to stay inside, I’ve decided to get caught up on some work related stuff. Not too exciting but its better than watching TV all day.
On the home front, we are going to try to do some work on the baby room next week since Melanie will be done with work Wednesday. I also am going to to look for another mattress for the guest bedroom since the one that’s in there now is older than I am. I took a couple of pictures of the storm and as well as some others and I put them up here.

I just saw this article over on the “Joel on Software” blog. I really get a kick out of most of his posts. This article was inciteful and very true.
